Ed Sheeran

We produced this video of Ed for the BBC in 2009. Back then Ed Sheeran was 18 years old and first started writing music to get out of doing homework! His music is reminiscent of early song writing icons like Bob Dylan, is well crafted enough to be original. He plays electric-acoustic guitar, beat boxes and writes heartfelt, well written lyrics that often tell a story and reflect wisdom that is far beyond his years. 

Back then Ed had already toured with various bands including the legendary Nizlopi and had been getting a lot of attention from some high profile names in the music industry. Although he has already achieved a great deal for someone so young, with numerous albums under his belt and a huge catalogue of songs to draw from, Ed was still driven to create.

His unique blend of folk and hip-hop, combined with haunting melodies and complex lyrics make for an interesting and charismatic performer. Here is just a collection of his thoughts, before he became mega famous!
